New Moodle LAE Releases for 2.6.11, 2.7.8, 2.8.6

There are three new CLAMP releases. There are no new LAE features; these are maintenance releases only.

The next stable releases on the 2.6, 2.7 and 2.8 branches are slated for July 19. Core has released Moodle 2.9.0; CLAMP anticipates releasing a beta in late May and a production release following the MUG and Hack/Doc Fest at the College of the Holy Cross in June.

Updates: MUG, Hack/Doc, Moot, Nominations

CLAMP MUG at Holy Cross has been cancelled, but Hack/Doc Fest is still on. Moodle Moot US 2015 is being held in Minneapolis this August, and CLAMP is wondering which member schools may be interested in attending the event. Finally nominations are open for the CLAMP Steering Committee Members and Recognition Awards.

Nominations Open for CLAMP Steering Committee Members and Recognition Awards

CLAMP is accepting nominations of member colleges to succeed them; terms are for three years. You need not specify who will represent the college on the committee now, and you can nominate schools other than your own.

New Moodle LAE Releases for 2.6.10, 2.7.7, 2.8.5

There are three new CLAMP releases. There are no new LAE features; these are maintenance releases only. This release incorporates both the initial releases made by Moodle core on March 9, and the emergency releases made the same day after a regression was discovered.

The next stable releases on the 2.6, 2.7 and 2.8 branches are slated for May 18. Core has scheduled the Moodle 2.9 release for the same window; CLAMP anticipates releasing a beta in late May and a production release following the MUG and Hack/Doc Fest at the College of the Holy Cross in June.

CLAMP MUG arrives at Holy Cross in June 2015

CLAMP’s second Moodle User Group (MUG) meeting will be held at the College of Holy Cross in Worcester, MA from Monday, June 22 through Tuesday, June 23, 2015. The event’s website is mug2015.clamp-it.org.

Learn about what topics may be presented at the event by visiting our Call for Presentations page or submit your own proposal using our online form.

The MUG will be followed by CLAMP’s biannual Moodle Hack/Doc Fest, a three-day event where developers, instructional technologists, and others come together to work on the open source learning management system.
