After extensive review, CLAMP is pleased to recommend the use of Moodle 2.x for the 2012-13 academic year.
In our initial report on Moodle 2.0 [PDF], CLAMP’s member schools found a number of major issues with the 2.x iteration of the open source learning management system. While some reservations remain, we find that most of these issues have been addressed in in the current Moodle 2.x releases.

CLAMP is pleased to announce the release of Moodle 1.9.16+Liberal Arts Edition v1.6.2. This is a security release that backports security fixes from 1.9.18 to LAE 1.6.x. It also includes an updated version of TinyMCE to resolve conflicts with Firefox 11 (CLAMP #370), and a gradebook fix that solves with comments not saving if there were no grades (CLAMP #393)
